For the first time I tried to keep track of some of the cool animals I saw at Chewonki. This is the porcupine that ran into our camp and then ran straight up a tree. He chilled there for several hours before running off again.
I think these are ospreys. We saw a lot of those on the sea kayaking trip.
At points this was called the summer of eagles. There were bald eagles everywhere. This is one we saw on the West Branch of the Penobscot.
This is an otter we saw on trip leader training.
This is a moose. We didn’t get too close.
